Two of Seattle Pacific University's student media groups, The Falcon (newspaper) and KSPU (radio station) are collaborating to produce podcasts hosted by SPU students. These podcasts cover a range of topics, including on-campus news and events, sports, college life, LGBTQ community issues, and much more.
As The Falcon's audio editor, I serve as the primary director and producer for these podcasts, ensuring these podcasts are produced with journalistic integrity and ethics, while also allowing the hosts to engage with audiences on a personal level.
In addition to editing podcast episodes for SPU media groups, I also edited three episodes of PBS NewsHour's fourth season of "On Our Minds," a podcast centered on teen mental health.
TFMS recaps recent and upcoming events at SPU and the Seattle area. I produce and edit episodes on a weekly basis.
Love Aloud is a podcast that talks about love, relationships, and stigma surrounding sex at Seattle Pacific University. I work alongside the host to come up with ideas for episodes. I edit every episode and am in charge of publishing.
